Partners and associates are very generous down the pub.
Second year trainee, LondonHelpful?Associate dinners are excellent. These are in the client dining rooms and the food is superb with unlimited wine. £5 free in the canteen is pretty good as the canteen is already subsidised.
2 yr PQE, LondonHelpful?£5 canteen balance per week. Taxis home after 9pm. Contribution to pension of 5%. Post-deal celebratory dinners. Room lunches paid for by partners.
Newly qualified solicitor, LondonHelpful?Cakes in the kitchens all the time!
Second year trainee, ParisHelpful?Free food, drink and taxis if working late.
Second year trainee, LondonHelpful?Allowances and consideration given for personal circumstances. All the other usual perks. Free briefcase given to all trainees.
First year trainee, LondonHelpful?Evening food brought to your desk by the very charming general office team!
1 yr PQE, LondonHelpful?Tickets for concerts/sports, opportunities to play competitive sport.

Amazing Christmas party, subsidised canteen and cash towards the canteen.
Newly qualifiedHelpful?Client dinners, completion dinners, staff drinks, karaoke.
First year traineeHelpful?Think it's fairly normal in the City but a free dinner and cab ride home when working late is much appreciated. We also have good department Christmas parties and a fairly extravagant firm-wide Christmas party (which is a lot of fun).
Second year traineeHelpful?Sporadic room lunches, £5 per week at the canteen.
First year traineeHelpful?£5 on your canteen card every week, opportunity to buy Albert Hall box tickets.
1 yr PQEHelpful? The firm offers all employees two free holiday days on top of the annual entitlement of 25 days to be taken at Christmas and New Year. It has also awarded every employee a free day of holiday to be taken any time during the Olympics.
Second year traineeHelpful? We get £5 per week to spend in the canteen, which doesn't sound like much but goes quite a long way.
1 yr PQEHelpful?Best perk is probably the cabs home after 9.
Second year traineeHelpful?Free dinners.
First year traineeHelpful?Pension contributions; £5 free per week to spend in the canteen; two further ex gratia days in addition to 25 days holiday per year.
First year traineeHelpful?Standard perks (i.e. pension, medical cover, transport loans, etc.).
2 yr PQEHelpful?Away day events, regular social events.
First year traineeHelpful? We don't have many perks but when entertaining clients we get to go to nice restaurants.
Newly qualifiedHelpful?Overall package is superior to any particular perk.

The perks are in line with other firms (i.e. Cabs, meals, etc.).
Second year traineeHelpful?Cheap tickets for a box at the Royal Albert Hall!
Second year traineeHelpful?Departmental and firm-wide Christmas party.
Junior solicitorHelpful?Lots of social events where the food/drink is free (we have a tab). The Christmas party is a really good night, always in a top quality hotel in London and no expense is spared.
First year traineeHelpful? We don't get anything too wacky that I can think of. We get £5 a week towards food at the canteen (whoop whoop), subsidised gym membership, spare sports tickets if they’re not being used for client entertainment (Twickenham, Emirates, Wembley, Oval, etc.). Free chocolate bars, crisps, soft drinks, etc. After 6pm (not sure that's a good thing!), Free dinner after 7pm, and free taxis home after 9pm. We are also allowed to use our BlackBerries as our personal phones without having to reimburse the firm (within reason), which I think is fairly generous.
Junior solicitorHelpful? Not great for perks. Tickets for sporting events do come up though at a cost. We do get standard provisions such as dinner when staying late and cabs home.
First year traineeHelpful?Free tickets to sporting events are great.
Junior solicitorHelpful? We get two extra days' holiday – one at Easter, one at Christmas.
